Developing Together was created to help businesses develop their people and skills inside and outside the workplace.

We work with companies across the UK and around the world to manage, design and deliver training solutions. Once your business objectives have been set, we'll assist you in identifying what training is required and the most appropriate delivery methods.

We will then provide short-and long-term evaluation methods to ensure ROI for your business.
Facilitation, Workplace Mediation and HR Services are available, and along with training delivery we can offer these services too using virtual platforms.

Our founder

Julia Wallis is our resident trainer, coach and facilitator. Julia is passionate about helping others to grow and in turn helping businesses reach their full potential. She is an accredited workplace mediator and enjoys the challenge of bringing parties together to resolve differences and find workable solutions.

Before setting up her Consultancy in 2004 Julia had a long and varied career at O2 UK where she discovered Insights through taking her own team on a journey and subsequently became a Client Practitioner for the company. 

Julia has many years’ experience as a facilitator, mentor and coach. She has a wide range of clients across many industries and a record of success in delivering a variety of different programmes across a range of sectors at all levels. She is passionate about helping individuals and businesses grow and develop their skills and maximise their performance.

Julia’s favourite Insights card reads: “enjoys spending time around other people – and helping them feel good”. Amanda
  • Amanda Lyon ACIPD - HR Services

    Amanda is an HR Professional with over 20 years generalist HR experience.  She has worked at Business Partner level as part of a large Corporate HR Team within O2 and in a number of HR Advisor and standalone HR Manager roles within IT, Real Estate and Pharmaceuticals.  It is this broad industry experience of best practice, coupled with her CIPD qualification which means that she can really hit the ground running and provide sound employment law advice to meet the commercial needs and objectives of your business.


    Amanda is particularly skilled in providing end to end in house recruitment support from defining role descriptions, advertising and sourcing candidates and competency based interviewing to make sure you get the very best candidates on the market.  She also has vast, hands on experience in managing complex Employee Relations issues and disputes from grievance and disciplines cases, redundancies, performance management and TUPE transfers to a fair and all round successful outcome for all concerned.


Suzanne
  • Suzanne Pullen MCIPD - Coach & Mentor

    Suzanne works with leaders and senior professionals to help them overcome obstacles (including mindset), achieve their goals and get the best from their teams. 

    As an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, she is committed to her clients and brings vigour, warmth and humour into her sessions to create an enjoyable coaching experience. Her style is supportive, flexible, and always confidential and her methods generate the self-awareness and insights needed for real change. 

    Suzanne’s coaching and mentoring draws on more than 30 years of business experience as a Company CEO, People Manager and HR/L&D professional. Prior to  full time coaching / mentoring, she was a consultant in Employee Engagement to the HR, leadership teams and Boards of hundreds of organisations in the private, public and third sector. Suzanne’s leadership, managerial and learning background enables her to relate directly to the pressures and challenges people can face and to focus on tangible business results for her clients. 



Irene
  • Irene Grindell - Mediator

    Irene is a mediator with a difference, a genuinely caring and compassionate person with a passion for transforming the stress and pain of a conflict into a positive and constructive experience for those involved and an outcome which is a win-win for all concerned. 

    She is the founder of The Mediators Peer Group and manages the award winning Tower Hamlets Mediation Project which provides free of charge neighbour to neighbour dispute resolution. Irene was previously the Director for Tower Hamlets Mediation Service where she worked for 9 years. 

    Irene uses her many years of coaching practice alongside some powerful techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) TA (Transactional Analysis) NVC (Non-Violent Communication) and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Her use of neuroscience, how the brain and body react when feeling threatened or when in conflict gives her an in-depth confidence when dealing with angry and stressed clients. 

    Her success rate is over 95% and she has mediated in hundreds of cases over the past 20 years.




Emma
  • Emma Busby - Insights Practitioner

    Emma is an enthusiastic, energetic and Inspiring trainer with a previous background in retail and training within the John Lewis Partnership.

    Her favourite Insights card is “Has an outgoing nature, building relationships quickly “  and this is evident in excellent feedback from previous clients in Industries ranging from Blue chip companies to small teams. Her ability to connect with others and facilitate high quality learning and development is supported by an interest in Mindfulness along with her own strong self-awareness, making her a confident and supportive deliverer of Insights.

    Emma radiates goodwill and enthusiasm and this forms part of her training and facilitation style, indeed helping people make the best of themselves and for them to see their self-worth within a group, means her adaptive and versatile skills leave you and your teams in safe hands.   • When the Training has been delivered does anything else happen?

    The Training Event(s) are the beginning of the journey. To get the most of the learning it must be brought back to the working environment and implemented into "business as usual". Here at Developing Together we can help with that implementation. Giving bespoke coaching, support and guidance to the managers and wider business units to ensure you get the maximum Return On Your Investment.

  • Where are the courses delivered?

    Anywhere, we can come to you and deliver in-house. Sometimes it’s good for people to go off-site. We can find excellent venues to create the right environment.

  • Can you supply your services online?

    We are able to offer Virtual Learning, Facilitation, Workplace Mediation and HR Services. During the Covid 19 outbreak we have developed and converted our offerings over Zoom, Webex and MS Teams to reach our clients in their homes.

  • Can we have tailor made HR Services specific for our industry processes and staff needs?

    Yes, that’s what we’re all about, we work with you and provide you with as much or as little support that your require. We can also support your line managers with what they need.

  • Do you deliver your services outside of the UK?

    Yes, we’ll go wherever we are needed.

  • Do you offer a discount scheme?

    We are happy to discuss discounts related to commitment and volume.

  • Are there funds and grants available for training?

    Yes, there are various government run schemes that you can apply to.
